The Procedural Content Generation Wiki is a valuable resource for all things procedurally generated.

Started by Andrew Doull in 2008, the wiki has a ton of information about all aspect of procedural content: lists of games that use it, articles about how different techniques work, and tons of links to more information. I’ll likely be referencing some of the information and links from the wiki in future posts.

When the wiki started, the focus was specifically on content that has a mechanical effect in a game or simulation, but it has since rightly broadened its approach, recognizing that the distinction is a spectrum rather than a binary.

The wiki can always use more help adding and editing content, so if you’d like to contribute, go make an account!
